This hotel, nestled in the tranquil countryside close to historical sites, offers a great value for money. The attention to detail in the rooms may be a little tired but the basic amenities are all there. The staff, apart from one minor slip-up, provided friendly and helpful service. the location is perfect if you seek tranquility and silence.
Bathroom could be improved.

I recently stayed at Den Gamle Graensekro Inn for one night during my road trip from Geneva to Copenhagen. The convenient location and charming building instantly caught my attention. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and a great bath, complete with excellent water pressure in the shower. The classic breakfast options were delicious, and the hospitality shown by the manager/owner was outstanding. Despite our late arrival, they quickly accommodated us and served a lovely breakfast even when we were tardy. The off-beat location provided the tranquility and silence I was seeking, and the inn exuded a sense of history that was carefully preserved by the owner.
Can recommend this hotel.

We had arrived fairly late (10.30pm) when the restraunt was closed but the staff on duty still went out of their way to provide our group of 5 with a hot meal and were very friendly and helpful during our short stay. Thank you!

As a solo traveler, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this inn. The beautiful building and nicely appointed facilities were impressive. The spacious room provided ample comfort and relaxation. The menu offered an excellent quality/price ratio, with a gigantic shrimp cocktail and a crisp wienerschnitzel being my personal favorites. The elaborate dessert with crèpes, ice cream, and fruits was a delightful treat. The relatively complete breakfast had a nice addition of smoked salmon, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home.
Felt like a VIP, no complaints at all.

We spent a lovely Christmas in a historically interesting and traditional inn, located near the border between two countries. The spacious rooms were clean and comfortable, with free WiFi. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast, with excellent coffee and a good selection of food. The on-site parking was convenient and there was no noise from the parties going on.
The shower situation was a bit inconvenient, as there was no tray and the entire bathroom ended up flooded. there was no proper reception, so we had to look around for someone to assist us.

The historical venue where we stayed during our holiday was simply amazing, it was like stepping back in time! The staff was very professional and the location was perfect for exploring the nearby sights. One of the best aspects was the food, it was delicious and very reasonably priced. we really enjoyed the trampoline outside and the friendly sheep wandering around.
The decor in our room was a bit old-fashioned and it could use some updates, but overall it was comfortable. the bathroom was not up to par with the rest of the facilities, the shower was not very practical and water ended up all over the floor.
